DC-10/MD-10 Flight Engineer (Second Officer)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Manage and monitor aircraft systems, fuel, and performance from the flight engineer station on the DC-10/MD-10.
• Execute normal, abnormal, and emergency checklists; support flight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance.
• Collaborate closely with the Captain and First Officer to maintain procedural discipline and on-time operations.
• Uphold the highest safety and compliance standards across all phases of flight.

🧰 What you’ll bring

• Heavy jet background: Experience on the B-707 and/or KC-10/DC-10 is required.
• FAA Flight Engineer License with Turbojet rating.
• FCC Radio License.
• Eligible for DoD Secret security clearance with a current status within the past two years.
• Total time: 2,000 hours minimum; recent heavy-aircraft time within the last 12 months preferred.
• Medical: Class 2 (FAA).
• Current, valid passport with multiple re-entry status to/from the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license and legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• NTR: Type rating not required; training provided.

🔒 Clearance and compliance

Applicants must be eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance and be able to verify a current status within the last two years. Candidates must also maintain travel documents enabling free exit and re-entry to the U.S. (multiple re-entry status) and meet all U.S. work eligibility requirements.
