Dash 8 Q‑Series Captain — Direct Entry (Type Rating Provided)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Lead safe, efficient Dash 8 Q‑Series operations under CARs 705.
• Exercise PIC authority, decision-making, and leadership across all phases of flight.
• Mentor and collaborate within a high-performance multi-crew cockpit; champion SOPs and CRM.
• Uphold a strong safety culture, SMS, and regulatory compliance at all times.
• Deliver a professional passenger experience while maintaining on-time, reliable operations.

🧰 Minimum qualifications

• Total time: 2,000 hours
• PIC time: 250 hours
• 705 experience: 500 hours under CARs 705 (see equivalencies below)
• Licence: ATPL
• Open to licence holders: TCCA
• Medical: Class 1
• English: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
• Visa sponsorship: Not provided

📚 Equivalent experience we accept

The following will be considered equivalent to 500 hours under CARs 705:

• Part 121 or European airline multi-crew operations
• Heavy military transport or multi-engine; military helicopter multi-crew PIC
• Large corporate or high-performance multi-engine PIC operating under CARs 704
• Multi-engine/multi-crew turbine PIC in aircraft at or above 12,500 lbs
• Credit for CARs 703 PIC time in select aircraft, including but not limited to: King Air 200 or larger, Metro II or larger, Twin Otter (DHC‑6), Beech 1900, etc.

🧾 Additional requirements

• Current valid passport
• All required visas or travel documents allowing unrestricted travel
• RAIC obtained prior to completion of Initial Ground School
• Clear police background and criminal record check
• Offers of employment are conditional on passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test

🎓 Training and onboarding

• Full Dash 8 Q‑Series type rating and aircraft-specific training provided
• Comprehensive ground school, simulator, and line indoctrination
• Ongoing proficiency and recurrent training under a robust SMS
