Corporate Jet Captain – Gulfstream & Long-Range (San Jose, CA)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring the highest standards of safety, judgment, and professionalism on every mission.
• Plan and execute domestic and international flights for long‑range business aircraft with precision and efficiency.
• Apply robust CRM, threat and error management, and risk assessment to deliver smooth, on‑time operations.
• Comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements (FAA/ICAO), including international and oceanic procedures.
• Collaborate closely with scheduling, maintenance, and ground vendors to maintain aircraft readiness and mission success.
• Deliver exceptional passenger experience with discretion, adaptability, and service excellence.
• Maintain currency, recurrent training, and type proficiency; mentor and support SICs and flight team members.

🧰 Minimum qualifications

• Total Time: 5,000 hours
• PIC Time: 3,000 hours
• Multi‑Engine Turbine: 2,000 hours
• License: ATP (FAA)
• Medical: Class 1
• Type Rating: Current type rating in at least one aircraft operated by the Gilead Flight Department, or the ability to obtain upon hire
• Residency: Currently reside within 2.5 hours of San Jose, CA or be willing to relocate

🎓 Education

• Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience; or
• Master’s degree and six (6) years of relevant experience

🌟 Preferred experience

• Five (5) years of corporate/part 91 aviation experience
• Significant international operations background
• Experience operating long‑range business aircraft; Gulfstream experience highly valued

📍 Location & travel

• Bay Area focus with home base within reasonable commute to San Jose, CA
• Regular domestic and international travel; schedule flexibility required
• Relocation support may be considered for the right candidate
