Corporate First Officer — Challenger 3500 (Fort Wayne, IN)

🧭 The Role

Steel Dynamics is seeking a professional First Officer (Second-in-Command) to support safe, efficient Challenger 3500 operations from our Fort Wayne base. You will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) across all phases of flight, contribute to a proactive Safety Management System, and be prepared to assume control should the PIC become incapacitated. This is a professional, team-driven corporate flight department with a measured and predictable annual schedule.

🧰 What You’ll Do

• Support the PIC in planning and conducting flights to the highest safety and efficiency standards.
• Maintain a working knowledge of PIC duties and responsibilities; assume PIC duties if required.
• Participate actively in Steel Dynamics’ Safety Management System (SMS).
• Report functionally to the PIC during flight assignments and administratively to the Chief Pilot.
• Uphold company policies, regulatory compliance, and exceptional passenger service.

🌟 What You Bring

• Required:
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Valid U.S. passport.
  • Previous jet experience.
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with Multi-Engine.
  • Type rating in appropriate aircraft; CL30 type strongly preferred.
  • Approximately 3,500+ hours total flight time.
