✈️ Role Overview

Join Jet Linx as a full-time Second in Command on the Citation XLS+ and help deliver safe, efficient, and exceptional flight experiences out of our Houston base. You’ll support both CFR Part 91 and Part 135 operations, exercising sound judgment, proactive decision-making, and unwavering adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the PIC in the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Citation XLS+ on Part 91/135 missions.
  • Manage duty, flight, and rest times in full compliance with company policies and applicable CFRs.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication on standby status, trip notifications, position calls, and pre-/post-flight reports.
  • Manage and maintain EFB hardware/apps; ensure charts, publications, and company manuals are current.
  • Uphold a current first-class medical and readiness for all assigned flying, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Represent Jet Linx core values in all internal and external interactions.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

  • Flight time minimums: 1,500 hours total time; 500 hours PIC; 500 hours multi-engine; 100 hours turbine; 150 hours instrument.
  • Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months (preferred).
  • Meets requirements to obtain an ATP; holds a current First-Class Medical.
  • Valid passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. driver’s license and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Successful completion of an FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in and around aircraft/terminals.

📍 Base, Coverage & Schedule

  • Base: Houston, TX
  • Callout Area: Must reside in or be willing to relocate within a two-hour callout of the Houston base.
  • Schedule: Availability required for nights, weekends, and holidays.

🧪 Safety & Compliance

  • Pre-employment drug screen and participation in random drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines) for safety-sensitive functions.
  • Ongoing compliance with FAA, company policies, and all applicable regulations.

  • Base Salary: $89,000 – $125,000 annually (commensurate with location, aircraft size, education, training, and experience).
