✈️ About the role

SXM Airways is expanding from Caribbean charter operations into dedicated air ambulance service with the Citation VII. As Captain, you will lead safe, efficient, and compassionate medevac missions, working closely with medical teams, ground partners, and company leadership to deliver timely, reliable care throughout the region.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Command the Cessna Citation VII for time-critical medevac missions across the Caribbean.
  • Exercise sound judgement and decisive leadership under pressure while maintaining uncompromising safety standards.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with medical crews, dispatch, and ground handling to deliver patient-centered service.
  • Plan and execute flights with precision: performance, fuel, routing, weather, alternates, and island-operating considerations.
  • Lead effective crew resource management and set a professional, calm tone in all phases of operation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and medevac protocols; complete accurate logs and reports.
  • Represent SXM Airways professionally with patients, families, partners, and authorities.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 3,000 hours
  • In type (Citation VII): 200 hours
  • Multi-engine: 500 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours (multi-engine jet)
  • Type rating: Current and valid on CE-650
  • License: ATPL — ICAO accepted
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English proficiency: ELP Level 4+
  • Safety record: No accidents or incidents in the last 5 years
