Join SkyShare as the dedicated Captain of a single-pilot Citation CJ supporting a private owner. Based at Covington Municipal Airport (CVC) in Georgia with a planned move to Greene County Regional Airport (CPP), this is a high-trust, safety-first role offering 160,000–180,000 USD per year, a dedicated aircraft, and an owner-driven schedule.
🧭 The mission
Command a well-maintained Citation CJ in single-pilot operations, delivering safe, smooth, and on-time flights for a private owner. You will own the end-to-end flight experience, from meticulous preflight planning to postflight care, while upholding exemplary standards of safety, judgement, and service.
🧰 What you will do
- Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, checklists, and best practices at all times.
- Plan and execute flights in a single-pilot environment: performance, W&B, fuel, routing, weather, and IFR filing/briefing.
- Perform flight duties for up to 14 hours per day during trips, for as many as 8 consecutive days, often crossing multiple time zones.
- Maintain a safety-first mindset with decisive aeronautical decision-making and strong problem-solving.
- Coordinate with FBOs, handlers, and maintenance; support aircraft cleanliness and readiness.
- Handle occasional lifting up to 80 pounds and confidently work with animals before, during, and after flights.
- Represent the owner and SkyShare with professionalism, discretion, and excellent customer service.
🌟 What you will bring
- Recent single-pilot jet experience (required).
- Minimum 2,800 hours total time, including: 250 hours PIC, 500 hours multi-engine, 300 hours jet, and 200 hours instrument.
- FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate category and class; Instrument Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license.
- Current and strong IFR knowledge and experience.
- Garmin G1000/G3000 familiarity preferred.
- Prior Part 135 experience preferred.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Able to pass TSA background checks and obtain a SIDA badge when applicable.
🗓️ Schedule and travel
- Core roster: 8 days on / 8 days off.
- Time off: Minimum 8 hard days off per month.
- Trip profile: Owner-driven schedule; multi-time-zone travel; duty periods up to 14 hours during sequences up to 8 days.
📍 Base and future home
- Primary base: Covington Municipal Airport (CVC), Covington, GA.
- Planned relocation: Greene County Regional Airport (CPP).
- Role type: Dedicated aircraft Captain supporting a private owner under Part 91.
