GFK Flight Support, Inc. is seeking a confident, safety-first Pilot-in-Command to lead single-pilot corporate and charter missions from Grand Forks, ND (GFK). You’ll fly a well-equipped 2014 Cirrus SR22 G5 with Garmin G1000, Garmin Digital Autopilot, and FIKI, delivering exceptional passenger care and disciplined operational decision-making under Part 135.
✈️ The Mission
As PIC, you are directly responsible for the safe, efficient transport of passengers and cargo in a single-pilot environment. You’ll ensure strict compliance with FAR, AIM, and company GOM procedures while exercising sound operational judgment, leading briefings, and setting the tone for a professional, customer-focused experience on every leg.
🧭 Your Aircraft & Operations
- Operate a 2014 Cirrus SR22 G5 equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics and a Garmin Digital Autopilot.
- FIKI-approved platform supporting corporate and Part 135 charter missions.
- Single-pilot operations emphasizing resource management and disciplined decision-making.
- Maintain aircraft competency through initial and recurrent training with a CSIP and company FAA-approved instructors/check pilots.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Exercise PIC authority for safe, efficient SR22 operations and customer care.
- Assess weather, aircraft status, and operational risks; recognize early warning signs and decide to continue, divert, or terminate a flight as conditions warrant.
- Conduct thorough preflight walk-arounds at the start of each shift and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Deliver clear safety and operational briefings; promptly communicate changes to supervisors and passengers.
- Perform applicable emergency procedures and submit operational, safety, and staff incident reports before the end of each shift.
- Participate in company meetings, continuing education, checkoffs, and all required regulatory or organizational training.
- Maintain age-specific competencies and safe customer-care skills; collaborate effectively with coworkers and management.
- Perform other duties as needed by the department or organization.
🌟 What You Bring
- Certificates: Commercial Single-Engine Land (ASEL) and Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) with Instrument Rating.
- Medical: Current FAA First- or Second-Class Medical.
- Experience: Meet FAA Part 135 minimum flight experience for PIC IFR operations.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Core skills: Effective verbal/written communication, critical thinking, and adaptability to changing conditions.
- Preferred: ~1,200 total time, ~1,000 PIC; 500 cross-country; 100 night; 75 instrument (including 50 actual); prior Cirrus SR22 time; Cirrus Advanced Transition Training with a CSIP.
