Constellation Brands is seeking an accomplished aviation leader to helm its corporate flight department from Rochester, New York. 🧭 The Mission
Lead a safe, efficient, compliant, and customer-focused corporate flight operation that aligns aviation performance with Constellation Brands’ business objectives. You will set the tone for safety, service, professionalism, and continuous improvement across the flight department.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Oversee all corporate flight operations, ensuring safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies, the Aviation Operations Manual, and standard operating procedures.
- Champion the department’s safety culture; support the Safety Management System (SMS) and risk-management initiatives; manage incident and occurrence reporting; participate in the Emergency Response Plan.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise pilots, flight attendants, and Assistant Chief Pilots—recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and develop flight-department personnel.
- Maintain certifications, qualifications, training records, and operational readiness; manage approved crew-training programs and check-pilot materials where applicable.
- Continuously improve flight-operations procedures; monitor industry best practices; coordinate crew assignments and changes with Scheduling; partner with Maintenance and other stakeholders to optimize aircraft utilization.
- Deliver a discreet, professional, and customer-focused passenger experience; resolve operational concerns; build trust with passengers, company leadership, and internal partners.
- Manage the pilot-training budget, operational expenses, resource allocation, vendor contracts, operational and pilot records, training documentation, audits, inspections, regulatory reviews, and continuous-improvement projects.
- When not assigned to flight duty, dedicate approximately 10–20 hours per week to strategic and operational leadership, safety and compliance, training oversight, customer service, workforce planning, budget stewardship, vendor management, cross-functional coordination, and department improvement.
- Model professionalism, preparation, integrity, accountability, sound judgment, precision, and disciplined execution across the flight department.
🌟 What You’ll Bring
- Current FAA ATP Certificate and current FAA First Class Medical.
- Minimum 5,000 total flight hours, including 3,000 hours as PIC.
- At least 10 years of aviation operations experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
- Type rating for at least one operated aircraft type; must qualify under the Constellation Leasing LLC training program to serve as PIC.
- Approved simulator training in the jet for which you are type rated within the previous 12 months.
- Availability for extended domestic and international travel; valid U.S. Passport and Driver’s License.
- Ability to reside within one hour of Rochester International Airport (KROC).
- Successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
- Demonstrated knowledge of company operations, training and SOPs, check-pilot materials (where applicable), and civil aviation regulations.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree; Associate degree in Aviation Management; or NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) credential.
- Gulfstream G280 and/or GVII type ratings.
- International flight experience.
- Experience in IS-BAO and/or SMS environments.
- Previous flight instruction experience or a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate.
🧭 Flight Time Minimums
- Total Time: 5,000+ hours
- PIC: 3,000+ hours
🛡️ Licensure
- Required: FAA ATP (Unrestricted or Restricted) and current First Class Medical
- Codes: ATP_UNRESTRICTED; ATP_RESTRICTED
