Challenger 604 Captain (PIC)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Serve as Pilot in Command of the CL-604, ensuring safe, compliant operations under FAA regulations and the DST Flight Operations Manual.
• Lead comprehensive flight planning; conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and activities.
• Navigate and operate the aircraft while managing ATC communications and coordinating special activities as required.
• Continuously monitor aircraft performance, weather, and systems to make sound, timely decisions.
• Apply effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) to lead and mentor crew members.
• Brief all passengers and crew on safety and egress procedures prior to flight.
• Communicate with customers to clarify mission objectives, schedules, and expectations.
• Report mechanical issues to Maintenance and the Chief Pilot; document discrepancies.
• Complete aircraft administration, including time tracking, manifests, and post-flight records.

🧰 What you bring

• Minimum total time: 2,000 hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificates: Commercial Pilot — AMEL with Instrument rating.
• Current FAA First or Second Class Medical.
• Valid passport with unrestricted international travel privileges.
• Valid driver’s license and U.S. citizenship.
• Able to hold or obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Ability to pass a DOT/FAA-regulated drug screening.

🌟 Preferred qualifications

• Bombardier Challenger 604 Type Rating.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5,000 hours total time, including 2,000 turbojet hours and 500 hours in the CL-604.

🗓️ Schedule & operations

• Full-time, exempt position on a 14-day on / 14-day off rotation.
• Variable and sometimes extended workdays; evening and weekend duties as mission requires.
• CONUS and OCONUS travel, including extended overseas assignments when requested by customers.
