🧭 The mission

As a type-rated Cessna 208 Caravan Captain, you will plan and execute point‑to‑point operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency from preflight to shutdown. You’ll adapt to varied runways and operating contexts while working closely with ground teams and dispatch to deliver reliable outcomes on every sector.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Command Caravan flights, maintaining strict adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and risk assessments for each mission.
  • Make sound, timely decisions in dynamic environments and varied weather conditions.
  • Ensure precise weight and balance, fuel management, and aircraft care at remote locations.
  • Foster strong CRM with crew, operations, and local partners to deliver punctual, dependable service.
  • Champion a just culture, reporting, and continuous improvement within an established SMS.

🌍 Travel & field assignments

Travel: Willing and able to deploy across Africa for extended periods of approximately 6–12 weeks per assignment. You are comfortable operating in varied climates, cultures, and airfield conditions while maintaining professional standards away from home base.

📏 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 800 hours
  • PIC time: 500 hours
  • PIC in type: 25 hours (C208)
  • Type rating: Cessna 208 Caravan — required
  • License required: CPL
  • Accepted licenses: ICAO
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO ELP level: 4 (or higher)
  • Employment: Permanent
  • Type-rated: Yes (required)
  • Visa sponsorship: Provided
  • Preference: Preference will be given to local candidates
