Join a professional flight department as a Learjet Captain, flying on the LR-JET type group with full training provided. This permanent position is based from our Lanseria office and requires a safety-first leader who can react quickly to confirmed missions, uphold exacting standards, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
🧭 The mission
As Captain, you will lead safe, efficient Learjet operations within the LR-JET group, execute precise flight planning and decision-making, and represent the operation with professionalism at all times. You’ll be trusted to respond quickly to confirmed flights, maintain a high standard of airmanship, and work seamlessly with crew, operations, and clients.
- Command Learjet flights in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Perform thorough pre‑flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance, and risk assessments.
- Manage all phases of flight, ensuring safety, compliance, and punctuality.
- Collaborate closely with crew and ops to deliver a smooth, client‑focused experience.
- Maintain currency, training, and documentation to the highest standard.
- Be on short‑notice standby and ready to reach the Lanseria office when missions are confirmed.

- Own reliable transport and the ability to meet rapid call‑out requirements.
- Call‑out readiness: Must be able to get to the Lanseria office within 45 minutes after receiving a call of a confirmed flight.
🌟 Minimum flight experience
- Total time: 5,000 hours
- Pilot‑in‑Command (PIC): 1,000 hours
- Multi‑engine: 1,000 hours
- Turbine: 1,000 hours
- Jet: 1,000 hours
- Type rating: Not required — training provided (NTR)
Preferred: LR35 type rating is advantageous.
🧭 Licensing & compliance
- License requirement: Valid ATPL
- Open to licence holders: SACAA
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO English: Level 4
🧑✈️ Training & progression
Type rating is not required. Comprehensive training will be provided to LR‑JET standards, with ongoing checks and recurrent training to keep you current and confident.
