As Dash 8 Captain, you will command day‑to‑day flight operations, set the tone for safety and performance, and mentor your crew while navigating diverse weather and airfields typical of regional networks. Your decision‑making, CRM, and turboprop expertise will ensure smooth journeys and an excellent passenger experience.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Operate the Dash 8 Q-Series safely and efficiently in accordance with company SOPs and EASA regulations.
- Lead the flight deck, fostering effective CRM and mentoring First Officers and cabin crew.
- Plan and execute flights, including performance calculations, weight and balance, and fuel management for short‑haul turboprop sectors.
- Exercise sound judgment in changing operational and meteorological conditions, including short runways and challenging approaches.
- Manage normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures with calm, checklist‑driven discipline.
- Champion a proactive safety culture through accurate reporting and participation in the Safety Management System.
- Represent the airline with professionalism and clear communication to all stakeholders.
🌟 Minimum requirements
- License: ATPL (EASA)
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO ELP level: 5
- Total time: 2,200+ hours
- PIC time: 1,000+ hours
- Flight time notes: 1,000+ PIC hours on an aircraft > 5,700 kg
- Type rating: Dash 8 Q-Series — required
- Last flight: Valid or recently valid Dash 8 type rating within the last 24 months
- Work authorization: Right to live and work in the European Union
- Visa sponsorship: Not provided
