Boeing 787 Technical Pilot – Fleet Entry-Into-Service & Operations
✈️ About the role
Join us as a Boeing 787 Technical Pilot and lead the entry-into-service and long-term operational integration of our Dreamliner fleet. You will be the technical and operational heartbeat within Flight Operations—coordinating cross-functional inputs, shaping SOPs and operational documentation, and embedding SMS principles to ensure readiness, compliance, and a smooth launch into service.
🧭 Mission
Lead the implementation, service entry, and continued integration of the Boeing 787 by providing sustained technical oversight within Flight Operations. You will coordinate documentation and procedure development, unify inputs from Training, Engineering & Maintenance, Safety & Quality, Ground Operations/Dispatch, and Regulatory Affairs, and ensure that every deliverable meets regulatory and operational standards.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Own the 787 entry-into-service roadmap—from readiness reviews and proving activities to post-launch stabilization and continuous improvement.
- Develop and harmonize 787 SOPs, normal/abnormal checklists, and operational documentation (e.g., FCOM/QRH inputs, Operations Manuals, MEL policy), ensuring clarity, compliance, and usability.
- Embed SMS practices across the program: hazard identification, risk assessments, safety assurance, and change management for new routes, procedures, and configurations.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams with Training, Engineering, Safety, Dispatch/IOC, and Cabin Operations to deliver a consistent, data-informed operation.
- Support 787 performance, navigation, and airspace requirements (e.g., EDTO/ETOPS, RVSM, PBN, and special airports), in collaboration with regulatory stakeholders.
- Contribute to EFB content, operational bulletins, and report writing; produce concise technical presentations for leadership and regulators.
- Analyze operational data (e.g., reliability and flight data trends) to identify risks and opportunities, recommending procedural or training updates.
- Provide expert technical support during aircraft acceptance, configuration reviews, and recurrent operational audits.
