Join Gridiron Air as a First Officer and fly worldwide on our Boeing 777-200ER fleet. Based from our Operations Control Center in Fort Worth, Texas, you will serve as Second-in-Command within a FAR Part 121 supplemental charter operation known for safe, compliant, reliable, and service-focused missions. Expect a dynamic schedule with evening and weekend availability when business needs require it.

✈️ The Role

As First Officer, you will operate as Second-in-Command on international and domestic charter missions, upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism. You will collaborate closely with the Captain, Flight Operations, and our Fort Worth-based support teams to ensure each flight is executed safely, efficiently, and with a hospitality-forward mindset.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Second-in-Command in accordance with company-approved manuals and applicable 14 CFR requirements, FAA Orders, airworthiness directives, advisory circulars, and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain all required qualifications and currency, including airport/route qualifications, flight-time and duty limitations, medicals/physicals, takeoffs/landings, and home-study courses.
  • Adhere to administrative programs: pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Model professional appearance, attendance, and conduct aligned with company culture and core values.
  • Immediately notify the Chief Pilot of any discrepancy, incident, or event affecting safety, regulatory compliance, or fiscal responsibility; take prompt, appropriate action to resolve.
  • When directed by the Captain, provide leadership to crewmembers to ensure safe, efficient operations and complete assigned administrative duties.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Licenses/Medical: FAA ATP (Unrestricted or Restricted), FAA First Class Medical, and FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Time Requirements: Minimum 2,000 hours fixed-wing total time with EFIS/FMS/glass flight deck experience; 1,000 hours turbojet time; 1,000 hours in Part 121, Part 91, or Part 135 operations.
  • Compliance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance; legal authorization to live and work in the United States.
  • Safety Record: No FAA accident history or regulatory violations.
  • Drug & Alcohol: Successful completion of DOT pre-employment drug test; ongoing compliance with company Drug and Alcohol policies.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Language: Fluent in English.

🌟 Preferred Experience

  • Supplemental Part 121 charter experience.
  • Time and/or training on the B777 or B747.
