✈️ The Opportunity

Cargojet moves over 1,300,000 pounds of freight each business night, operating a dedicated fleet of all-cargo aircraft. As a B757 Captain based in Hamilton, you will lead safe, efficient, and on-time operations at the forefront of Canada’s cargo industry — domestically and internationally.

🧭 What You Will Do

• Lead safe, compliant operation of the Boeing 757 in line with company SOPs, SMS, and regulatory requirements.
• Execute time-sensitive overnight schedules with a strong focus on reliability and on-time performance.
• Conduct thorough preflight planning, fuel and performance calculations, weight and balance, and route selection.
• Exercise sound command decision-making in dynamic operational and weather environments.
• Mentor and develop First Officers, fostering a strong safety culture and crew resource management.
• Coordinate with OCC, maintenance, and ground teams to ensure mission readiness and operational excellence.
• Represent Cargojet’s professional standards with customers, partners, and airport authorities.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

• License: ATPL — TCCA
• Medical: Class 1
• Total time: 5,000 hours
• PIC time: 3,000 hours
• Turbine time: 3,000 hours
• Flight time notes: 3,000 hours transport jet PIC or 500 hours PIC on type (B757)
• ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher
• Type rating: Not required — training provided
• Open to lic. holders: TCCA

🌍 Additional Requirements

• Work eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Travel: Able to travel without restrictions within the Cargojet network and obtain crew visas as required (including to the United States)
• Security: Able to obtain a RAIC
• Visa sponsorship: Not provided
