🧭 The Mission
As Second-in-Command on the iconic Boeing 747, you will support global cargo operations that keep supply chains moving. You will comply with all applicable regulations and Captain directives to ensure the safe, efficient conduct of each flight across diverse international environments.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Serve as First Officer (SIC) on worldwide Boeing 747 operations.
- Adhere to company policies, FARs, and international procedures while executing Captain guidance.
- Plan, brief, and operate flights collaboratively with the Captain and crew to meet safety, schedule, and payload objectives.
- Manage normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures per 747 systems and company SOPs.
- Maintain professional radiotelephony with ATC using your FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Champion a safety-first mindset and contribute to a just culture across all phases of flight and duty.
📐 Minimum Requirements
- Total time: 2,500 hours
- License: ATP (FAA)
- Medical: Class 1
- Type rating: Not required — training provided
➕ Additional Requirements
- Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- No history of accidents or incidents.
- A valid passport allowing unrestricted international travel (including for military contract requirements).
- Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and a 10-year background check for this safety-sensitive role.
🌟 Preferred Experience
- 1,000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations.
- Up to 500 hours of military flight time as PIC of a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane may count toward the 1,000-hour requirement.
- PIC time in operations under § 135.243(a)(1) or § 91.1053(a)(2)(i), or any combination thereof.
🗓️ Schedule & Lifestyle
- Tour of duty: 17 days away from home base per rotation.
- Operate global routings supporting charter and scheduled cargo missions for e-commerce, express, logistics, nonprofit, and governmental customers.
