Compass Cargo Airlines is a growing Bulgarian cargo operator flying a Boeing 737-800SF fleet alongside our Boeing 747-400F and 747-400ERF widebody operation, serving an expanding international network on behalf of major cargo customers. 🧭 The Opportunity
As a Boeing 747-400 Captain, you will lead safe, efficient, and cargo-oriented operations across a varied international network. Expect night flying, tight ground turnarounds, and oversight of DG handling as part of everyday work. Our 737-800SF network complements the long-haul flying of our 747-400F/ERF fleet, giving you exposure to both regional and intercontinental operations within a single airline.

🧰 What You Will Do
- Command B747-400F/ERF operations with an uncompromising focus on safety, compliance, and on-time performance.
- Execute night operations and rapid turnarounds while maintaining high standards of crew coordination and situational awareness.
- Apply EASA-compliant SOPs, robust threat and error management, and effective decision-making in dynamic cargo environments.
- Coordinate closely with dispatch, engineering, and ground teams to ensure efficient, cargo-first solutions.
- Foster a culture of clear communication, professionalism, and reliable teamwork on every sector.
🌟 What You Bring
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; a professional, calm, and solution-oriented mindset.
- EASA ATPL with valid Class 1 medical and ICAO English Level 5+
- Current B747-400 type rating and recent, relevant widebody cargo experience preferred.
🧮 Minimum Flight Experience
- Total time: 6,000 hours
- Total jet: 4,500 hours (on medium to heavy turbojet aircraft)
- In type (B747): 1,000 hours
- PIC total: 1,500 hours
- PIC in type (B747): 500 hours
- Type rating: Required on B747
- Preferred: TRI/TRE experience an advantage
