Eastern Air Express is inviting experienced leaders to join as Direct Entry Captains on the Boeing 737NG. In this left-seat role, you will report directly to the Chief Pilot, uphold our safety-first culture, and execute reliable, on-time operations across a dynamic Part 121 environment.

As a Direct Entry Captain, you will lead a professional crew on the Boeing 737NG, ensuring uncompromising safety, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional operation. You will represent Eastern Air Express’s values and culture while making sound decisions in a high-tempo, real-world environment.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the Boeing 737NG safely and efficiently under FAR Part 121 and company procedures
- Lead flight crews, model exemplary CRM and decision-making, and maintain calm under pressure
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable FARs, operations manuals, and safety programs
- Exercise proactive threat and error management; maintain currency and proficiency
- Coordinate effectively with Dispatch, Maintenance, and Station operations to deliver reliable performance
- Represent Eastern Air Express with professionalism to customers, regulators, and partners

- Additional requirements: FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit; valid passport (or unrestricted global travel authorization); valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Safety & compliance: Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol testing, criminal history records check (CHRC), and ongoing testing requirements
- Direct Entry Captain: Meets all FAR 121.436 requirements
📏 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 7,000 hours (only time in the operating seat of a turboprop and/or turbojet aircraft may be counted)
- PIC time: 2,000 hours on multi-crew, multi-engine, commercial aircraft
- Multi-engine: 2,000 hours
- Turbine: 7,000 hours
- Part 121: At least 1,000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations
- Wide-body experience: Previous PIC time on wide-body aircraft, preferably the B767 or B777
- License: FAA ATP
- Medical: First-Class Medical Certificate
- Type rating: Not required (training provided); B-737 type rating preferred
Note: Candidates should be prepared to validate flight time totals and seat position with logbook records.
