Join the flight deck and help deliver safe, efficient, and friendly service across a fast-paced route network. Non-type-rated applicants are welcome—world-class Boeing 737 training is provided.
🧭 Your Mission
As a Boeing 737 MAX First Officer, you’ll partner with your Captain and Crew to execute every flight with precision and care. You’ll operate within robust SOPs, exercise sound judgment, and champion an exceptional Customer experience—while maintaining the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and Crew Resource Management.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- FAA ATP certificate
- Current First Class medical certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Valid United States Driver’s License
- Valid passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States without restriction
- Meets all regulatory criteria to obtain and maintain a CREW badge; continuous enrollment in Rap Back required
- Willing to grant and share Southwest access to your PRD information as part of the interview and onboarding process
- Ability to work rotating shifts and/or overtime, and to travel on a constant basis
- Maintains a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards
🌟 Preferred Experience
- 500+ hours in a fixed-wing turbine (airplane and/or power-lift)
- Actively flying fixed-wing turbine within the last 3 years
- Turbine Pilot in Command (TPIC) time
- 121 airline, U.S. military, and/or other U.S.-based flight experience (experience from foreign military organizations or foreign commercial carriers is not considered equivalent for this requirement)
- B-737 type rating
📏 Flight Time Notes
- Do not include simulator, WSO, RIO, FE, NAV, or EWO time
- UAVPIC time is defined as Captain or Aircraft Commander of record or pilot signing for the aircraft (not sole manipulator of the controls)
💼 What You Will Do
- Operate the Boeing 737 MAX as First Officer with disciplined airmanship and professional communication
- Collaborate with the Captain and Cabin Crew to ensure safe, on-time, and customer-focused operations
- Comply with company policies and all applicable regulations while upholding exemplary CRM
- Participate in training, checking, and recurrent qualification to maintain proficiency
