🧭 What You’ll Do

As Captain on the Boeing 737 NG/MAX, you will lead by example from briefing to block-in, ensuring uncompromising safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

  • Command B737 NG/MAX flights, delivering safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operations.
  • Foster a strong safety culture, applying SOPs and best CRM practices.
  • Coach and mentor flight crew; support training and checking where designated.
  • Collaborate with flight ops, engineering, and dispatch to optimize on-time performance.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total time: 5,000 hours
  • Jet: 2,000 hours
  • PIC in type: 1,500 hours on B737NG/MAX
  • Type rating: Required (B737NG/MAX)
  • Currency: Last flew the B737NG/MAX within the past 6 months from date of application
  • License required: ATPL
  • Accepted licenses: ICAO
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO ELP level: 4

Flight time notes: 1,500 hours PIC on B737NG/MAX. 500 hours minimum instructional time on type required for designated Instructors/Training Captains.

  • No criminal record.
  • Five (5) years or more airline experience in a similar role.
  • Willingness to relocate and be based in Uganda.
  • Individual assessments for satisfactory command ability will be carried out as part of the interview process.
