Ameriflight LLC, the nation’s largest Part 135 cargo airline, is hiring a full-time BE1900 Captain for our Bellingham outstation. If you thrive on precision IFR flying, value a predictable weeknight schedule, and want a clear path for advancement, this is your next great move.
🧭 The Mission & Schedule
Based in BLI, you’ll operate a consistent weeknight cargo run to BFI and back:
- Pattern: Depart Monday–Friday evenings, layover in Seattle (BFI), return the following morning.
- Hotels: Company-provided hotel in BFI for the standard assignment.
- Alternative living option: Prefer to live in Seattle? Receive a BLI hotel Monday–Friday and a company vehicle for weekend commuting (Seattle housing/transportation otherwise on you).
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Serve as Captain and PIC on the Beechcraft 1900 for scheduled cargo operations between BLI and BFI.
- Conduct all phases of IFR operations to Part 135 standards, including preflight planning, performance, and W&B compliance.
- Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and station teams to ensure safe, punctual launches and turnarounds.
- Maintain meticulous aircraft logs, paperwork, and regulatory documentation.
- Uphold TSA, airport badging, and company safety/security protocols at all times.
✅ Minimum Qualifications
- Certificates: Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Multi-Engine Land and Instrument ratings; high-performance & complex endorsements.
- Regulatory: Meet FAR 135.243(c) for IFR PIC; prior FAR 121/135 experience required; current IPC or 121/135 recurrent within the last 6 months.
- Flight time minimums:
- 1,800 total time
- 1,000 PIC
- 500 cross-country
- 250 multi-engine
- 100 turbine PIC
- 100 instrument (min 50 in aircraft)
- 100 night
- Medical: Current First- or Second-Class medical (First-Class required for Charter/ESCS or international operations).
- Other: FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Permit; valid passport; English proficiency; eligible to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted; able to meet airport badging and TSA background requirements.
- Screening: DOT pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and insurability to operate company vehicles, if assigned.
