Beechcraft 1900 Captain (Training Provided)

• Lead safe, efficient Beechcraft 1900 operations from preflight planning through arrival, consistently applying threat and error management and strong command presence.
• Exercise sound PIC decision-making in dynamic environments while maintaining on-time performance and operational excellence.
• Deliver outstanding, attentive customer service that reflects Sunwest’s commitment to a premium travel experience.
• Champion safety: adhere to the accountabilities outlined in Sunwest’s SMS manual and proactively participate in reporting and continuous improvement.
• Foster effective CRM and teamwork with flight crews, dispatch, maintenance, and ground operations.
• Ensure regulatory and company compliance in all aspects of flight operations, documentation, and training currency.

🌟 Minimum flight experience

• Total Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
• Multi-Engine: 1,500 hours
• Type Rating: Not required — Training Provided (preference for time on type)

🎓 Training & development

• Comprehensive Beechcraft 1900 differences/type training provided for qualified candidates (NTR welcome).
• Willingness and ability to travel to the United States for training is required.
• Ongoing recurrent training aligned with Sunwest’s SMS and operational standards.

🛂 Travel & eligibility

• Valid Canadian passport or resident status with the necessary visas/documentation to travel freely within Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, and Western Europe.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a RAIC and successful completion of a criminal background check.
• ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
• Visa sponsorship is not provided.
