✈️ The Opportunity

Pacific Coastal Airlines is hiring permanent full-time Beechcraft 1900 Direct Entry Captains to join our Vancouver-based flight crew at the YVR South Terminal. As a regional Canadian carrier with a People First culture, you’ll fly a dynamic schedule across British Columbia — from major international airports to some of the province’s most remote and rewarding destinations, including Tofino, Bella Bella, and Bella Coola.

🧭 What You’ll Do

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command (Captain) on the Beechcraft 1900 across Pacific Coastal’s scheduled network in British Columbia.
• Operate into diverse environments — from busy hubs to short, remote runways — while delivering safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operations.
• Lead the flight deck with strong CRM, adherence to SOPs, and compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations.
• Execute high-quality IFR operations, including performance planning, weight and balance, and timely decision-making in changing coastal weather.
• Collaborate with a supportive team culture that prioritizes work-life balance, schedule flexibility, and professional growth.

🧰 What You Bring

• Total time: 2,000 hours
• PIC time: 1,000 hours
• Relevant experience: 1,000 hours in any combination of multi-engine, multi-crew, IFR, and/or turbine experience flown in a Canadian 600/702/703/704/705 operation
• Licensing & medical: Valid Canadian ATPL and Category 1 Medical (ATPL_ICAO)
• Security: Able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
• Work eligibility: Canadian citizen/permanent resident or valid permit to work in Canada
• Travel: Eligible to travel to/from the United States without restrictions
• Physical: Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted

🌟 Compensation, Schedule & Perks

• Base salary: $81,600 – $118,000 (starting range)
• Per diem: $5.10 per duty hour
• Premiums: Trainer Pay Premiums for Training Captains
• Credits & schedule: Minimum 80 flying credits/month; maximum 18 duty periods; Wild Card Days and socialized schedule-control
• Commuting: Commuting within the network (pending approval during hiring based on requested location)
• Time off: 12 banked statutory holidays that can be used to replace scheduled work days
• Retirement: 3% matching RRSP after probation
• Health & insurance: Sun Life benefits; Pacific Coastal pays 100% of premiums for Extended Health and Dental, and 50% for disability, life, and AD&D
