Step onto the flight deck of one of the world’s most advanced widebodies. If you’re a disciplined, safety‑minded First Officer with solid jet airline experience and a passion for long‑haul operations, this is your opportunity to fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on a permanent contract in Japan.

✈️ The Opportunity

As a First Officer on the B787, you will operate scheduled air carrier services within a robust safety and compliance framework. You’ll join a professional, multicultural flight deck environment and receive full type rating training upon selection.

🧭 Minimum Requirements

  • Employment: Permanent
  • Type Rating: Not required (Training Provided)
  • Licenses: CPL, IR, ME
  • Accepted Licenses: JCAB
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language Proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
  • Additional: Aeronautical Radio Operator certification
  • Work Authorization: Valid Japan residence card and work visa (visa sponsorship not provided)

🧰 Flight Time Requirements

  • Total Airline Flight Time: More than 1,500 hours
  • Jet Experience: 1,500 hours on turbine jet (turbofan) aircraft
  • Part 121: 1,500 hours


Notes: For ATPL holders, airline experience from any ICAO member state may be counted. For CPL holders, flight hours may include experience with Japanese airline companies. You must meet more than 1,500 total hours at point of entry; however, candidates with approximately 1,350 total hours are encouraged to apply while building to the minimum.

  • Type Rating: Full Boeing 787 type rating provided upon selection
  • Standards: Training and checking in accordance with JCAB and company operating procedures

  • Copy of JCAB CPL/IR/ME license and Class 1 medical
  • Proof of ICAO English Level 4+
  • Aeronautical Radio Operator certificate
  • Logbook summary highlighting total, jet (turbofan), and Part 121 hours
  • Evidence of Japan work authorization (residence card and visa)

Only candidates meeting the entry standards at the time of employment can be onboarded; shortlisted applicants may be invited to assessments and simulator evaluation.
