🧭 Your mission

As Captain, you are the commander of the aircraft in all normal and abnormal situations—safeguarding the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo while ensuring an efficient, on-time operation that consistently delivers on Green Africa’s mission of safe and affordable air travel.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Command ATR 72 operations across all phases of flight, maintaining the highest safety and professional standards.
  • Exercise sound judgment in normal, abnormal, and emergency scenarios; apply SOPs, QRH, and company policies with precision.
  • Drive operational efficiency through prudent fuel management, time-critical decision-making, and a value-focused mindset.
  • Lead by example—promote effective CRM, mentor flight deck and cabin crew, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures, including ICAO standards.
  • Champion safety reporting, threat and error management, and risk mitigation to sustain a just culture.
  • Represent Green Africa professionally, delivering a welcoming, customer-first experience on every flight.

✅ Minimum requirements

  • Total Time: 6,000 hours
  • PIC on Type: 2,000 hours
  • Flight Time Notes: At least 2,000 airline command hours on ATR 72 (500/600 series)
  • Type Rating: Required
  • Currency: Must have flown within the last 12 months
  • License: ATPL (ICAO license holders welcome)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English Proficiency: ICAO Level 5
