✈️ The Opportunity

As an ATR 72 Captain, you’ll lead from the front—owning every phase of flight, mentoring your crew, and delivering a consistently safe and professional operation. This direct-entry pathway is designed for experienced, type-rated commanders ready to make an immediate impact.

🧭 Minimum Flight Experience

  • Total Time: Minimum 4,000 hours on EASA Part 25 aircraft
  • On Type (ATR 72): Minimum 500 hours as primary crew
  • PIC on Type: Minimum 1,000 hours
  • Recency: At least 150 hours on type in the last 12 months

🧰 Licences, Medicals & Clearances

  • Licence: ATPL (open to ICAO licence holders)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English Proficiency: ELP Level 5 (minimum)
  • Type Rating: Current and valid ATR 72
  • Passport: Valid, with eligibility for required travel/visas
  • Background Check: Valid Certificate of Character or Police Clearance from country of residence
  • Technical Exam: Must pass the Air Mauritius Technical Examination

🎓 Academic Qualifications

  • Pathway A: School Certificate with minimum Grade B in Mathematics & Physics
  • Pathway B: Final Secondary Education Certificate including Mathematics and Physics
  • Pathway C: Degree in a field of Science

  • Engage professionally with operations, dispatch, and maintenance to deliver on-time performance
  • Champion customer service, representing the airline with professionalism on every sector

  • Copy of ATPL and ATR 72 type rating
  • Class 1 medical certificate
  • Proof of ELP Level 5 or higher
