🧭 The role

As a First Officer on the ATR 42, you’ll operate multi-sector regional services in a professional, safety-first environment. You’ll train to type, hone your turboprop skills, and contribute to a high-performing crew focused on punctuality and excellent passenger experience.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Support the Commander across all phases of flight, adhering to SOPs and company policies.
  • Perform accurate flight planning, performance computations, and fuel management.
  • Apply disciplined checklist use, managing normal and abnormal procedures with strong CRM.
  • Communicate clearly with crew, operations and ATC while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Champion a just culture by engaging in safety reporting and continuous improvement.

🌟 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 250 hours
  • Multi-engine: 50 hours
  • Flight time notes: Command experience on aircraft with MTOW > 10,000 kg
  • Type rating: Not required — training provided
  • Licence: UK CAA fATPL(A) with valid IR, MCC and ME
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
  • Background checks: Able to provide references to pass a five-year background and criminal record check
  • Work authorisation: Visa sponsorship not provided

🌱 Training and progression

Comprehensive ATR 42 type rating and induction are provided, followed by supervised line training. Strong performance can lead to early responsibilities within the operation and future upgrade opportunities.
