Join a dynamic flight deck where safety, teamwork, and reliable operations come first. As a First Officer, you will operate under a seniority-based bidding system for both schedule and aircraft assignment—giving you a clear pathway for growth as you build time and tenure.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Execute safe, compliant, and efficient Part 121 operations in accordance with company SOPs, FOM, and all applicable regulations.
- Partner with the Captain and crew to deliver a professional, customer‑focused experience from pushback to parking.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and aircraft systems checks.
- Manage clear, timely communications with ATC, dispatch, and ground personnel.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and CRM in all phases of flight, environments, and conditions.
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- ATP Qualified (FAA): Pilot applicants must meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
- Be within three months of meeting the above minimum flight experience at the time of application.
- Current FAA First‑Class Medical Certificate.
- Type rating not required; training provided (NTR welcome).
- Hold an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
- Current passport—or travel documents—permitting multiple reentry to the U.S.
- Be a U.S. citizen or able to show proof of the right to work in the U.S.
- Open to FAA certificate holders.
🌟 Additional Expectations
- Must be available to work any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willing to fly an assigned schedule based on pilot bidding seniority.
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing company selection, training, and compliance requirements.
🧪 Training and ATP‑CTP Support
For candidates who complete an application and successfully pass the pilot interview, SkyWest will provide the means to complete a SkyWest‑approved ATP‑CTP course to support completion of the ATP Written.
