Airline First Officer – Boeing Widebody Fleet (Miami)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Serve as First Officer across Atlas Air’s Boeing 747/777/767 fleet supporting global missions for military, humanitarian, sports, entertainment, and e‑commerce partners.
• Operate to the highest safety and compliance standards within FAR Part 121 and Atlas Air procedures, including crewmember uniform and appearance standards.
• Execute precise SOPs in complex airspace, perform advanced instrument procedures (e.g., LNAV/VNAV, RNAV), and manage sophisticated FMS/avionics in a multi‑crew environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, CRM/TEM, and timely, accurate decision‑making on every leg.
• Work variable schedules including reserve duty, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Maintain complete, accurate records for training, regulatory, security, and pilot‑record evaluations (PRIA/PRD).

🧰 What you’ll bring

• Certificates & Docs: Current unrestricted FAA ATP with airplane multi‑engine and English Proficiency endorsement; current FAA First Class Medical; FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit; valid passport with at least 24 months’ remaining validity and no international travel restrictions; ability to obtain CANPASS. Legal name must match across passport, work authorization, FAA licenses, and permits.
• Eligibility & Screening: Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; between 23 and 65 years of age; ability to pass a DOT pre‑employment drug test; 10‑year security background check; PRIA and PRD evaluations; provide five years of domestic/foreign training records or acceptable documentation.
• Flight Time Minimums: 1,500 hours total time and either 1,000 hours fixed‑wing OR 500 hours with a Part 121/135 operator, or qualifying rotary experience as stated by Atlas Air. Military flight‑training graduates may qualify with a minimum of 250 PIC fixed‑wing hours.
• Knowledge & Availability: Thorough knowledge of FARs applicable to Part 121 operations; availability for reserve, weekends, evenings, and holidays; adherence to appearance standards; strong communication, leadership, and decision‑making.
• Preferred Experience: 2,500 hours in Part 121/135/91 or military operations; 500+ hours turbine; 200+ hours in the last 12 months; significant widebody, PIC, military, or international experience; advanced avionics/FMC proficiency; CRM/TEM; complex airspace and sophisticated instrument procedures; bachelor’s degree in aviation (or related) or equivalent experience.
• Atlas Air evaluates aircraft complexity, operation type, recency, quality, quantity, and verifiability of flight time and associated logs.
