Join RwandAir, Rwanda’s flag carrier, as a First Officer based at Kigali International Airport. As second-in-command, you will partner with the PIC to deliver safe, efficient operations across a diverse regional and international network.

🧭 Your mission

Serve as First Officer (Co‑Pilot) and Pilot Monitoring in accordance with RwandAir’s OMA procedures, maintaining constant situational awareness and supporting the PIC throughout all phases of flight.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Rwandan and international aviation legislation, practices, and procedures.
  • Remain current with all relevant provisions of the Company Operations Manuals required for your role.
  • Continuously monitor the aircraft, flight path, and adherence to SOPs; promptly advise the PIC of any deviations or developing hazards.
  • Assist the PIC to ensure safe, efficient flight deck management and on-time operations.
  • Report hazards and occurrences through established company channels.
  • In emergencies requiring immediate action, take any necessary decisions and actions in the interest of flight safety, including justified deviation from procedures.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Valid ICAO/EASA/FAA flight crew licence.
  • Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Radio Telephony Licence or appropriate licence endorsement.
  • Current type rating on one of: Boeing 737, Airbus A330, or Dash 8 Q400.
  • ICAO English Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
  • No history of accidents/incidents resulting from gross negligence.
  • Total time: 1,500 hours; minimum 500 hours on type.
  • Willingness to relocate permanently to Kigali, Rwanda.
