Airline Captain (Pilot-in-Command) – Caribbean Regional Fleet | NTR

🧭 Position Overview

The Commander (Pilot-in-Command) holds overall responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft, the welfare of passengers and crew, and full compliance with all applicable regulations through every phase of flight. This role demands decisive leadership, technical mastery, and sound operational judgment in dynamic conditions.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

• Assume command and ensure flight safety, security, and regulatory compliance from preflight to shutdown.
• Lead and mentor the flight and cabin crew, promoting effective CRM and adherence to SOPs.
• Plan and execute flights, including performance calculations, fuel and payload planning, weather/NOTAM review, and alternate selection.
• Make timely operational decisions in normal, abnormal, and emergency situations, prioritizing safety and operational integrity.
• Oversee passenger welfare and cabin safety; ensure professional, customer-centric service standards.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and post-flight debriefs accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, Engineering, and ATC to deliver reliable, on-time performance.
• Uphold company values and represent LIAT professionally at all times.

📜 Minimum Requirements

• Type Rating: Not required (training provided).
• License: ATPL (open to ICAO license holders).
• Medical: Class 1.
• English Proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
• Experience: Minimum flight hours and command experience as stipulated by company and authority.

🎓 Training & Progression

NTR welcomed: LIAT provides the necessary type training and operational indoctrination. You will receive comprehensive ground, simulator, and line training under the oversight of our Training and Standards team, aligned with ECCAA requirements and company SOPs.
