🧭 Role snapshot
As Captain, you will exercise full command of A320 family operations, championing safety, regulatory compliance, and outstanding crew coordination. You’ll lead by example, make sound decisions in dynamic environments, and deliver a great experience for customers and crew alike.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total time: Minimum 3,500 factorized hours
- PIC time: Minimum 1,000 hrs PIC on certified MPA MET (jet/fan) with MTOW > 50T in a public CAT operator environment (excluding business/corporate)
- Multi-engine: Minimum 1,000 hrs
- Jet: Minimum 1,000 hrs
- Type rating: Not required (A320 training provided)
- Simulator hours are excluded. PIC hours are captain hours only; PICUS not included.
🧮 Flight time factorization notes
Factorized hours: Wizz Air applies factors to pilot flying hours to determine minimum requirements for Commanders. Hours in each category are multiplied by the applicable factor; the sum after factorization is used to confirm eligibility. Simulator hours are excluded. PIC means actual captain time; PICUS does not count toward PIC.
🌟 What you’ll do
- Exercise command to the highest safety standards, ensuring compliance with company manuals and EASA Air OPS
- Lead effective CRM and TEM on every sector
- Make timely, data-driven operational decisions in all phases of flight, including abnormal and emergency situations
- Mentor and develop First Officers; foster a professional flight deck culture
- Protect on-time performance while managing fuel, weather, MEL/CDL, and operational constraints
- Maintain currency, proficiency, and exemplary airmanship
🎓 Training and onboarding
Successful candidates will receive A320 family type rating and associated training. Recurrent training and checking are provided to maintain compliance and proficiency.

- Open to licence holders: EASA
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO English: ELP Level 4+
