✈️ The Opportunity
Join the flight deck as a Direct Entry Captain on the Airbus A220. You’ll command an advanced flight deck, lead a professional crew, and deliver a world-class guest experience while operating safely, efficiently, and on schedule. No A220 type rating? No problem—we provide type training for qualified captains.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Serve as Captain and final authority for flight safety, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making.
- Lead and mentor flight crew; foster a culture of professionalism, CRM, and continuous improvement.
- Execute all phases of A220 flight operations, including preflight planning, performance calculations, and threat/error management.
- Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and airport teams to ensure on-time, fuel-efficient operations.
- Deliver clear, courteous communication with crew, ATC, and guests; represent the brand with integrity.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- Total Time: 3,000+ hours
- Jet Time: 2,000+ hours
- PIC Time: 500+ hours
- License: FAA ATP (Multi-Engine)
- Medical: Current First Class
- Type Rating: Not required (training provided on the A220)
🌟 Flight Time Specifics (Required)
- At least 2,000 hours total time in large, Group II transport category, fixed-wing turbojet aircraft with more than 41,000 lbs MTOW.
- At least 500 hours PIC in large, Group II transport category aircraft (more than 41,000 lbs MTOW). Note: PIC is defined as Captain or Aircraft Commander of record, not solely the manipulator of the controls.
- Actively flying in two of the past five years.
🧭 Currency
- 500+ hours of Part 121 PIC time within the last three years.
🧾 Licenses, Documents & Eligibility
- FCC Permit: Valid Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
- Driver’s License: Must have or be able to obtain a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Passport: Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport; able to travel unrestricted to and from the United States.
- Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Language: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
🔒 Safety, Background & Records
- Pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
- Pass a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check.
- Maintain pilot training and qualification history in accordance with the PRD.
