Air Medical Fixed‑Wing Captain (PC‑12/King Air) – 7/7 Roster

🧭 Your Mission

• Act as Pilot in Command with final authority over aircraft operations and the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
• Ensure aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy for medical transport within the assigned operational area.
• Complete thorough preflights and postflights, sign the Daily Flight Log, and conduct full walk‑arounds before and after each leg.
• Plan and execute flights to exacting standards, often with little notice, in accordance with FARs, the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), company General Operations Manual, and Air Methods policies.
• Operate and remain proficient in all assigned aircraft and associated medical systems, including backup aircraft used in the area.
• Coordinate with and ensure the medical flight team is familiar and comfortable with the medical interior and systems.
• Complete all required documentation and actively participate in meetings, projects, committees, and community outreach.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

• Dual Qualification (Required): BE200 (King Air 200) and PC‑12.
• Total Time: 2,500 hours minimum (3,000 preferred).
• PIC: 1,000 hours.
• Night: 200 hours total night time (program minimums specify 100 hours night in category).
• Instruments: 100 hours actual instrument and 500 hours minimum instrument time (1,000 preferred); program minimums require 100 hours actual instrument in category.
• Cross‑Country: 500 hours (at least 50 hours at night).
• Turbine: 500 hours.
• Category Recency: Flown in category within the previous 24 months.
• IFR Program Minimums (Fixed‑Wing, in category): 2,500 total hours (2,000+ in category), 1,000 PIC in category, 500 cross‑country, 500 turbine, 100 night, 100 actual instrument.
• Certificates & Ratings: Instrument rating for category and class (ATP in category satisfies instrument requirement); fixed‑wing multi‑engine rating for twins; Commercial single‑engine land for single‑engine aircraft.
• Medical: FAA First or Second Class Medical certificate.
• Licenses accepted: ATP (unrestricted or restricted) or CPL.
• Education & Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college/technical school plus 2–5 years related experience/training (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Program Requirements: Maintain crew weight not to exceed 250 lbs; under 70 years of age.
