A330 Captain (A320 Commanders Transition Programme) — Kigali, Rwanda
RwandAir invites seasoned A320 commanders to transition onto the widebody fleet via an approved Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) programme, leading to command on the Airbus A330 based in Kigali.
Join a dynamic, growing operation where your narrowbody command experience becomes the foundation for a widebody captaincy. Following successful selection and CCQ, you will operate the A330 on regional and long-haul services from Kigali, contributing to safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operations.
- Serve as Captain on the A330 upon successful completion of CCQ and line qualification.
- Uphold RwandAir and RCAA standards for flight safety, compliance, and crew leadership.
- Lead flight deck operations, decision-making, and CRM to deliver on-time, high-quality service.
- Participate in recurrent training, checking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Valid ATPL with an A320 family type rating.
- Valid Class 1 medical and ICAO English Level 4 or above.
- No-accident/no-incident letter or certificate.
- Original or authenticated documents available at shortlisting.
- Meets all RwandAir and RCAA selection and qualification requirements.
- Total time: 6,000+ hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 2,500+ hours
- A320 family PIC: 1,000+ hours
Shortlisted pilots will complete RwandAir’s assessment process. Successful candidates will transition via an approved CCQ programme to the A330, followed by line training and release to command in accordance with company and RCAA requirements.
