• Conduct line training, mentoring and line checks in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Coach pilots in advanced non-technical skills, embedding strong human factors principles in day-to-day operations.
• Provide clear, respectful feedback and support effective competency development and performance uplift.
• Champion safety, CRM and operational discipline while fostering a positive, inclusive cockpit culture.
• Collaborate with training, flight operations and safety teams to continuously improve standards and outcomes.
• Model exemplary professionalism, integrity and ethics, with conduct aligned to Qantas values.

📏 Minimum requirements

• Total time: 4,000 hours+
• PIC on generation 4 jet aircraft: Minimum 1,000 hours
• Training/check experience: Experience as a training or check captain (or equivalent qualification) on jet aircraft
• Type rating: Not required — A220 training provided (NTR)
• License: ATPL
• Accepted licenses: CASA
• Medical: Class 1
• ICAO English: Level 6
