As an A220 Line Training Captain, you will mentor, coach and assess flight crew while championing human factors and operational excellence. This is a permanent opportunity, and the type rating is provided (NTR-friendly).

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Deliver line training, coaching and on-the-job mentoring for A220 flight crew, embedding SOPs and best-practice human factors.
  • Conduct line checks, route checks and competency-based assessments aligned with international standards and company manuals.
  • Provide inclusive, constructive feedback that lifts performance and reinforces a just culture and safety-first mindset.
  • Support standardisation and continuous improvement across training programs and line operations.
  • Model exemplary airmanship, professionalism, integrity and ethics consistent with Qantas values.
  • Collaborate closely with training, safety and operations teams to ensure compliant, efficient flying.

🌟 Minimum requirements

  • Total Time: 4000 hours
  • Jet PIC: 1000 hours
  • Flight Time Notes: Minimum 1000 hours PIC on generation 4 jet aircraft; experience as a training or check captain (or equivalent qualification) on jet aircraft
  • Type Rating: Not required — training provided (NTR)
  • Licence: ATPL (CASA accepted)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language Proficiency: ICAO English Level 6
