MEHAIR is inviting fresh Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holders to join our Trainee First Officer (TFO) program on Cessna 208 Grand Caravan seaplanes. This is a hands-on, entry-level route into regional seaplane operations across India—ideal for pilots eager to build time and confidence in a unique amphibious environment.

  • Aircraft: Cessna 208 Grand Caravan Seaplane (Amphibious)
  • Role: Trainee First Officer (Entry-level)
  • Program: Self-sponsored type rating and required training
  • License: DGCA-issued CPL + valid Medical + RTR(A) + FRTOL
  • Location: Multiple bases across India

🧭 What you'll do

  • Operate as First Officer on Cessna 208 seaplane flights under the supervision of the PIC.
  • Support all phases of flight operations, including preflight planning, checklists, and post-flight duties.
  • Assist with seaplane-specific operations such as water takeoffs/landings and safe docking/mooring as required.
  • Adhere to company SOPs, regulatory standards, and safety management practices at all times.
  • Participate fully in the TFO program, including type rating and operational training modules.

🧰 What you'll bring

  • Fresh CPL holder with a valid DGCA License.
  • Current DGCA medical certificate.
  • RTR(A) and FRTOL.
  • Self-sponsored for Cessna 208 type rating.
  • Self-sponsored for any other required training associated with the TFO program.
  • Willingness to work across multiple locations in India and adapt to operational requirements.

Nice to have: Familiarity with CRM in multi-crew environments, strong situational awareness, and an eagerness to learn seaplane operations.
