Take the right seat of a Beechcraft Super King Air and fast‑track your turboprop career. Based permanently in Bristol, this role welcomes non-type-rated pilots and includes structured type training, close-knit mentoring and varied operations that build confidence and capability quickly.
✈️ About the role
As First Officer, you’ll work alongside the Captain to deliver safe, efficient and professional flights under our AOC. You’ll be hands-on across every phase — pre‑flight planning and performance, execution under IFR, through to post‑flight — while upholding disciplined airmanship, strong CRM and a calm, customer-focused approach.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Support pre‑flight planning: performance, weight & balance, and NOTAM/weather review.
- Operate the Super King Air in line with CAA regulations, company SOPs and the AOC.
- Manage radios, navigation and flight monitoring; action normal and emergency checklists as directed.
- Maintain accurate tech logs and report defects promptly within the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Coordinate with Operations on schedules, slots and ground handling to keep the day running smoothly.
- Provide a professional, reassuring passenger experience from boarding to shutdown.
- Adopt a flexible, solutions‑focused approach to rostering and short‑notice changes.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 250 hours (minimum)
- Licence: UK CAA CPL with IR and ME
- Medical: Class 2
- ICAO English: Level 4 or higher
- Type rating: Not required (training provided)
- Residency: Live within, or be willing to relocate to within, 60 minutes of Bristol Airport
- Eligibility: Open to UK CAA licence holders; visa sponsorship is not provided
Preferred: A current King Air type rating.
