We're seeking a Prestwick-based Captain to join our expanding special-missions team, operating the MET B350 on varied surveillance and life-saving SAR tasks across the UK and neighbouring States. ✈️ The opportunity
Join a capable, close-knit crew delivering specialist airborne surveillance and SAR support. You'll operate multi-pilot on the MET B350 alongside a First Officer and a dedicated Sensor Operator who manages advanced mission systems. Your leadership and airmanship will keep our aircraft mission-ready and our sorties safe, effective, and on task—often in time-critical scenarios.
🧭 What you'll do
- Lead multi-crew missions on the MET B350 across the UK and neighbouring States.
- Execute specialist surveillance tasks and support life-saving SAR operations.
- Plan and conduct day/night sorties under IFR/VFR, ensuring safety and compliance with UK CAA procedures and company SOPs.
- Champion mission readiness: pre-flight briefs, risk assessments, performance planning, and post-flight reporting.
- Work closely with the Sensor Operator and mission coordination teams to deliver precise, actionable outcomes.
- Model robust CRM and decision-making in dynamic, sometimes time-sensitive environments.

- Desirable: experience as a lead pilot or in a managerial capacity at a forward operating base.
📝 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 1500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 750 hours
- Flight time notes: 100 hours IFR and 100 hours night
- Licence: UK CAA CPL with IR and ME
- Medical: Class 1
- English proficiency: ICAO Level 4+
- Type rating: Required – current King Air 350 type rating highly desirable; training may be provided for suitable candidates
- Additional: Must hold (or be eligible for) UK Security Clearance and a valid UK Driving Licence

📍 Base, operations & roster
Based at Prestwick, you'll operate across the UK and neighbouring States on a mix of day and night missions. Crews consist of a Captain, First Officer, and Sensor Operator. Expect occasional detachments to forward operating bases aligned with mission needs.
