✈️ The mission
Join our growing Prestwick team to deliver a new, high-impact contract where every sortie matters. This is not point-to-point airline flying — you’ll lead varied, challenging special-mission operations that protect the public, including life-saving SAR taskings across the UK.
As Captain on the MET B350, you’ll operate in a multi-pilot environment with a First Officer and a dedicated Sensor Operator managing advanced mission systems. Your expertise keeps the aircraft mission-ready and directly contributes to safeguarding lives in critical situations.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Captain the MET B350 on specialist surveillance and SAR missions throughout the UK and neighbouring States.
- Lead multi-crew operations with a First Officer and collaborate closely with the onboard Sensor Operator.
- Execute day and night missions, maintaining the highest standards of airmanship, safety, and mission effectiveness.
- Plan and brief missions, manage risk, and ensure full compliance with company SOPs and UK CAA regulations.
- Champion mission readiness, system checks, and timely decision-making in dynamic operational scenarios.
- Mentor and support the First Officer, fostering a strong, collaborative cockpit culture.
🧰 What you’ll bring (minimum requirements)
- Total time: 1,500 hours
- PIC time: 750 hours
- Instrument time: 100 hours (IR)
- Night time: 100 hours
- Licence: UK CAA CPL with IR and ME
- Medical: Class 1
- English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4+
🌟 Preferred profile
- Proven experience in a lead pilot or managerial role at a forward operating base.
- Current King Air 350 type rating is highly desirable; conversion training may be provided for strong candidates.
🛡️ Additional requirements
- Already hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Clearance.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
