Bering Air is seeking a motivated Captain to operate in some of the most challenging and rewarding flying conditions in America—connecting remote communities and delivering vital services across western Alaska.
🧭 About the role
As a Captain, you will operate various aircraft types in western Alaska’s roadless regions, ensuring safe, reliable, and mission-focused air service. You’ll bring strong airmanship, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in an environment defined by rugged terrain and rapidly changing weather.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Operate company aircraft safely and efficiently in remote and challenging conditions.
- Deliver essential passenger, cargo, and community-support air services to western Alaska.
- Exercise sound PIC decision-making while adhering to company procedures and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch, maintenance, and station teams to ensure on-time, safe operations.
- Represent Bering Air with professionalism and a customer-first mindset in the communities we serve.
🌟 What you bring
Minimum qualifications
- Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.
- Commercial License (CPL).
- Non-smoker.
- 500 hours of Alaska flying/living experience, or one season in Alaska.
Preferred qualifications
- 3,000 hours total flight time.
- ATP/ATPL.
- 1,000 hours of Alaska flying/living experience, or two seasons in Alaska.
- Time in type on C208, C212, C408, B190, or BE20.
