Join EJM as a mission-critical aviation leader. As the Regional Chief Pilot, you are the highest point of contact for aircraft flight standards across the Southeast, advancing safety, schedule reliability, service excellence, and disciplined operations in a dynamic Part 91/135 environment. This is a required management position under 14 CFR 119.69 and is Florida-resident only.
✈️ The Opportunity
Lead a high-performing flight team and uphold the gold standard for safe, efficient, and owner-focused operations. You’ll drive continuous improvement across flight standards, scheduling, discipline, and service, while exercising operational control and partnering closely with Owner Services, Sales, and the broader Flight Department.
🧭 What You’ll Lead
- Serve as final authority for aircraft operational control in accordance with 14 CFR 135.77.
- Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, OpSpecs, GOM/GOMM, flight manuals, and safety programs.
- Oversee continuous improvement in flight standards, scheduling discipline, safety, and service across the pilot population.
- Conduct periodic flight debriefs and reviews to identify root causes, close gaps, and elevate performance.
- Coordinate on-site and headquarters meetings to lead CRM assessments and drive corrective actions to resolution.
- Authorize deviations when necessary while ensuring strict compliance with FARs and company policy.
- Implement advanced technology enhancements and embed best practices across safety programs.
- Act as the primary pilot contact for Owner issues and questions; collaborate with Owner Services and Sales, including owner visits.
- Manage and develop pilots, flight attendants, and fully managed administrative roles; uphold performance and behavior standards.
- Partner with the Director of Operations on policies, procedures, training, and standardization.
- Ensure safe execution of the daily operating plan, from preflight through postflight debriefs and training cycles.
🧰 What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s in Aviation Management or related field.
- Certifications & Licenses: FAA ATP; valid medical certificate; may be required to obtain a type rating in applicable fleet.
- Experience: 10+ years total; minimum 3,500 PIC hours; large-cabin international experience; previous Check Airman experience preferred.
- Regulatory: Meets management personnel requirements of FAR 119.69 & 119.71; maintains currency and proficiency per FAR 135/91 (or equivalent military experience).
- Leadership & Skills: Proactive decision-maker with strong prioritization and organizational skills; adept at handling multiple high-level priorities.
- Availability: On-call 24/7 with a company-provided communication device.

📍 Location & Travel
- Role requires residence in Florida.
- Periodic travel for off-site meetings and to company headquarters for assessments, training, and leadership alignment.
