Senior Flight Test Pilot – eVTOL Air Taxi Program

✈️ The Mission

As a Senior Flight Test Pilot, you will plan, execute, and lead flight test activities across experimental CTOL/VTOL profiles for a fly-by-wire electric air taxi. You will conduct both remote UAV operations and inhabited flight tests, partnering closely with engineering, certification, and safety teams to deliver disciplined, data-driven results.

🧭 What You’ll Do

• Plan, brief, execute, and debrief developmental and certification flight tests for experimental fly-by-wire aircraft.
• Perform both remote UAV and inhabited flight evaluations to expand envelope, verify requirements, and mature handling qualities.
• Develop and review test plans, test cards, and hazard/risk assessments to ensure safe, effective test execution.
• Collaborate with engineering to define test objectives, instrumentation needs, and data quality standards.
• Provide technical feedback on aircraft performance, systems integration, and human factors.
• Support analyses, simulator sessions, and rehearsals to de-risk test points.
• Document results and contribute to reports supporting the ongoing FAA certification program.
• Travel and work extended hours as mission needs dictate.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

• Long-course graduate of a recognized test pilot school (or equivalent robust on-the-job training).
• Minimum 3 years of additional flight test experience post-training.
• At least 50 hours of experimental or certification flight test time as a test pilot.
• Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent experience and training.
• CPL with Fixed-Wing and/or Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate.
• Minimum 1,000 hours PIC time.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in reading and speaking English.
• Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
