Lead the Flight Deck as Yum! Brands’ Senior Corporate Captain
Yum! Brands is seeking a seasoned aviation leader to serve as Senior Captain (PIC) within our corporate flight department. Based in Irvine, CA, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient, and Part 91–compliant operation of our Embraer EMB‑550 (Legacy/Praetor) while mentoring teammates and championing a world‑class safety culture.
✈️ The Mission
Serve as Pilot in Command for Yum! Brands’ corporate flights, setting the standard for operational excellence, crew leadership, and customer service. You will plan and execute complex itineraries, ensure rigorous regulatory and company compliance, and elevate team performance through mentoring and example.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Act as PIC with full responsibility for the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft under 14 CFR Part 91.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of assigned trips, from preflight to postflight, ensuring seamless execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements on every flight.
- Mentor, coach, and serve as a positive role model for flight department team members.
- Provide constructive feedback on crew performance and operational enhancements to the Director, Aviation.
- Lead assigned functional teams within the department to drive continuous improvement and a safety-first culture.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Certificates: Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with at least two unrestricted type ratings; EMB‑550 type preferred.
- Medical: Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Experience: Minimum 5,000 total flight hours and 2,000 hours Jet PIC.
- Record: No FAA violations, accidents, or incidents.
- Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent 10+ years of industry experience.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills to engage effectively with executives, regulators, and team members.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor, coach, and cultivate a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
License required: ATP (unrestricted)
