Seaplane Captain – DHC‑3T Turbine Otter
Join Harbour Air, North America’s largest seaplane airline, for a high-impact seasonal flying opportunity. Based in Vancouver/Richmond, BC, you’ll operate single-pilot DHC‑3T Turbine Otters on floats, delivering scheduled and charter services across the stunning Southern BC coastal region throughout Summer 2027.
✈️ The Mission
Deliver safe, efficient, and customer-focused seaplane operations in a dynamic coastal environment—balancing precision flying, thoughtful decision-making, and warm hospitality with every departure and docking.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Liaise with OCC to gather weather, routing, and passenger load information.
- Generate flight plans, including route, altitudes, weather, and NOTAMs.
- Calculate and manage aircraft weight and balance for each flight.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections and float operations.
- Provide clear passenger briefings and exceptional customer service throughout the journey.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Transport Canada CPL and current Class 1 Medical.
- Minimum 1,000 hours PIC fixed-wing.
- Minimum 750 hours on floats.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and strong communication skills.
🌟 Where You’ll Fly
Operate from Vancouver Harbour and the Richmond/YVR base to destinations throughout the Southern BC coast—combining scheduled services with bespoke charters across harbours, inlets, and islands.
