🧭 What you’ll do

  • Serve as Pilot in Command under 14 CFR Part 121, upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.
  • Exercise sound judgment in dynamic Alaskan weather, terrain, and operational environments.
  • Lead and mentor flight crews to maintain a professional, respectful, and fun cockpit culture.
  • Deliver reliable, on-time performance while proactively managing operational risk.
  • Represent Aleutian Airways with professionalism in all customer and stakeholder interactions.

🧰 What you’ll bring (Minimum requirements)

  • Total time: 3,000 hours minimum.
  • License: FAA ATP (Airline Transport Pilot).
  • Medical: Current First Class medical.
  • Experience: Multi-engine turboprop time; qualified to serve as PIC under 14 CFR 121.436.
  • Type rating: Not required — Saab 2000 training provided (NTR).
  • Background: Able to pass full DOT background check and initial/random drug screening.
  • Physical: Capable of performing all essential job duties.
  • Work authorization: Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available.

🌟 Preferred qualifications

  • Prior Part 121 PIC experience in the Saab 2000.
  • Recent Part 121 PIC experience in multi-engine turboprops.
  • Alaska/cold-weather, mountainous terrain, and challenging weather experience.
  • Proven mentoring and crew leadership skills.

  • Company-provided Saab 2000 training and qualification for non-type-rated candidates.
  • Standards-focused indoctrination emphasizing safety, reliability, and professional excellence.
