Redtail Air is hiring a safety-focused Pilot in Command to captain our Quest Kodiak in the breathtaking Canyonlands region. If you thrive in backcountry and mountain environments and love delivering an exceptional passenger experience, this seasonal role is your runway.

✈️ The Mission

Lead safe, professional operations as PIC in demanding terrain while representing Redtail Air’s commitment to safety and service.

  • Operate the Quest Kodiak under FAR Part 135 with strict adherence to company SOPs.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service on every flight.
  • Execute flights in backcountry and mountainous environments with sound ADM and risk management.
  • Perform thorough preflight planning, weight and balance, performance calculations, and postflight duties.
  • Maintain aircraft care, logs, and required currency and training.
  • Work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; occasional overnight travel as needed.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

  • Meets experience requirements per FAR 135.243(b).
  • Minimum 500 hours total time.
  • Strong safety mindset with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Backcountry, tailwheel, and mountain flying experience highly valued.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and credential verification.
  • Pre-employment DOT drug test required.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; able to support occasional overnights.
