Join Cutter Aviation as the primary face of our flight operation in Phoenix, flying a new Pilatus PC-12. As PIC, you’ll lead single-pilot owner support and on-demand charter operations under Part 91 and Part 135—delivering uncompromising safety and world-class service with every flight.

  • Reports To: Director of Operations and Chief Pilot; liaises with Cutter Flight Management
  • Schedule: 24/7 availability, rotating schedules, short-notice callouts

✈️ Role overview

As the PC-12 PIC, you’ll execute single-pilot flights supporting aircraft owners and charter clients, uphold strict regulatory compliance, and represent Cutter Aviation with professionalism and care. You’ll coordinate closely with Flight Management across all phases of operation—from trip planning through post-flight support—while setting the tone for a safe, polished, and client-centric experience.

🧭 Key responsibilities

  • Operate the Pilatus PC-12 as single-pilot for owner travel and on-demand charter under Part 91 and Part 135.
  • Plan, brief, and execute flights with meticulous attention to weather, fuel, weight and balance, performance, and risk.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations, pilot qualifications, currency, and fitness for flight.
  • Perform thorough preflight and postflight inspections, ground checks, and accurate recordkeeping; promptly report in-flight irregularities.
  • Deliver world-class service as Cutter Aviation’s primary client interface; build rapport with owners, charter clients, and business partners.
  • Coordinate with Cutter Flight Management for trip logistics, maintenance support, and aircraft readiness.
  • Train and mentor a qualified SIC to perform assigned functions.
  • Remain available year-round with flexibility for rotating schedules and short-notice callouts.
  • Complete additional administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot.

🧰 Minimum qualifications

  • Certificates & Medical: Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument rating; current First-Class Medical (or able to qualify). ATP preferred.
  • Record: No accidents, incidents, or sanctions within the past five years; ability to pass drug screening and background check; clean driving record.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of general-aviation aircraft and service requirements; exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Professionalism: Professional appearance and manner; able to develop friendly rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Operational Readiness: Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team; strong attention to detail and multitasking ability; able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Leadership: Ability to train a qualified SIC and assist customers effectively.

🌟 Preferred qualifications

  • Unrestricted ATP preferred; Multi-Engine ATP preferred.
  • Previous turboprop experience and/or turbojet type-rating experience.
  • 1,200+ total time, 500+ cross-country, 100+ night, and 75+ instrument (including 50 actual).
  • Prior on-demand charter experience (Part 135).
  • Prior training with FlightSafety International (FSI) or Simuflite.
