Pilatus PC-12 Captain – 6-Month Remote Contract
MDH Pty Ltd is recruiting an experienced pilot to operate a Pilatus PC-12 NGX for a family-owned cattle business based near Cloncurry in remote North-West Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to fly independently in remote environments while also operating into major Australian metropolitan airports.
✈️ The Opportunity
As the dedicated company pilot, you will deliver safe, efficient and professional operations supporting a leading pastoral enterprise. Expect varied flying across regional areas and major Australian cities, with accommodation provided and strong emphasis on self-reliance and sound judgement.
- Operate the Pilatus PC-12 NGX to transport people and undertake company missions across remote North-West Queensland and beyond.
- Plan and execute flights under IFR and VFR as applicable, maintaining high safety and operating standards.
- Manage flight preparation, fuel planning, performance calculations, weight and balance, and weather/NOTAM review.
- Coordinate with maintenance providers and ensure aircraft readiness and documentation accuracy.
- Adapt to remote strips and regional conditions while remaining confident operating into major metropolitan airports.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2,000 hours PIC.
- Minimum 500 hours turbine PIC.
- Current instrument rating (IFR).
- PC-12 experience preferred but not essential.
- License required: ATPL.
- Strong commitment to safety and professional operating standards.
- Reliable, adaptable and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable living and working in a regional community.
- Confident operating in remote environments and into major metropolitan airports.
