PC-12 Air Ambulance Pilot (IFR) – North Las Vegas
✈️ PC-12 Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Pilot (IFR)
Air Methods, operating locally as Mercy Air, is hiring a skilled fixed-wing pilot to fly a Pilatus PC-12 in single-pilot, IFR air-ambulance operations based in North Las Vegas, Nevada. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient patient transport across the region, operating around the clock in alignment with FARs, the AIM, and the company GOM.
🧰 What you will do
- Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally, serving as final authority for aircraft operation and the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-flight walk-arounds for every leg; verify airworthiness and sign the Daily Flight Log.
- Maintain familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems, including backup aircraft at the base; ensure the medical team is briefed and comfortable with the medical interior and systems.
- Perform detailed flight planning to exacting standards on short notice and complete all required documentation.
- Participate in company meetings, activities, projects, committees, and community outreach.
- Maintain regular attendance on a 7/7 schedule of 12-hour shifts and perform other duties as assigned.
Operate in full compliance with FARs, the Aeronautical Information Manual, and the company General Operations Manual.
🧭 What you bring
- Education & experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school plus 2–5 years of related experience or training; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Recency: Flown in category within the previous 24 months.
- Certificates & ratings:
- Instrument rating for the category and class of aircraft (or ATP in category).
- Fixed-wing multi-engine rating for twins, or Commercial Single-Engine Land for single-engine aircraft (PC-12).
- FAA First- or Second-Class Medical certificate.
- IFR program minimums:
- 2,500 total hours, including 2,000 in category
- 1,000 hours PIC in category
- 500 cross-country (50 or more at night)
- 500 turbine
- 100 night
- 100 in actual instrument conditions in category
- Operational & safety: Able to serve as flight crew at or below 250 pounds and under 70 years of age.

- Base salary of $91,820–$102,576 (110% ACCRA)
